Two Kolkata Police Deputy Commissioners Suspended Over Anti-Adhikari Remarks

Two senior Kolkata Police officers have been suspended in connection with remarks made against BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari in 2025. The suspended officers are Deputy Commissioner of Police III (North Division) Bidhan Saha and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Port Division II) Partha Pratim Das. Both officers held significant positions within the Kolkata Police force before their suspension. The action was taken in response to statements the officers allegedly made targeting the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly.
