Massachusetts cranberry farm becomes wetland, luring back fish after 100 years

A former cranberry farm in Plymouth, Massachusetts, has been successfully converted into a freshwater wetland following restoration efforts that began in 2010. The project rehabilitated 225 acres of wetland and over three miles of stream habitat. Dams and other barriers were removed, and native plants and wildlife were reintroduced to the area. As a result, thousands of migratory fish — including alewife and blueback herring — have returned to waters they had been cut off from for more than a century.

Accused in UP Child Harassment Case Dies by Suicide in Police Custody

A 62-year-old man named Rajendra Prasad was arrested on Sunday in connection with the sexual harassment of a 9-year-old girl in Sindhar village, Uttar Pradesh. He was taken into custody by local police following the alleged incident. Prasad subsequently died by suicide while in police detention. The case has been confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Dr Arvind Kumar.
