Scientists have identified a new plant species, Thismia daemona, in Thailand's Thong Pha Phum National Park. The plant is unusual in that it lacks leaves and any green structures entirely. Instead of photosynthesising, it obtains nutrients by feeding on underground fungi. Its striking horn-like appearance has led researchers to nickname it the 'devil flower'.
