Australian crew rescues patient from Antarctica in -43°C midwinter darkness

An Australian aviation crew has successfully evacuated a patient from McMurdo Station in Antarctica during the region's harsh midwinter conditions. The mission required the crew to land their aircraft in complete darkness and temperatures as low as -43°C.
