Army officer's 20-year-old son drowns after car falls into open drain in Vasant Kunj

A 20-year-old student, Yashvendra, son of an army officer, died in south Delhi's Vasant Kunj area after his car skidded into an open drain. The incident is believed to have been triggered by poor road conditions worsened by recent rainfall. Yashvendra had recently returned from the United States and was accompanied by a woman at the time of the accident. The woman managed to escape the vehicle without serious injury. Police subsequently recovered both the car and Yashvendra's body from the drain.
