Apple announces HomePod Mini 2 with new chip and features, but Siri AI delayed

Apple has announced the HomePod Mini 2 smart speaker, which features a new chip capable of powering Siri AI, though those AI features will not be available at launch. The updated speaker includes a new sound glow feature that syncs its LED lights with album art and can function as a Mac's default speaker. Up to four units can be paired with the Apple TV 4K for surround sound. The device comes in pink, green, a new blue, white, and black, and its price has increased to $149, $20 more than the discontinued original model.
