Amit Shah Cancels Karnataka Visit After Bout of Food Poisoning

Union Home Minister Amit Shah suffered a food poisoning episode, prompting the cancellation of his scheduled visit to Karnataka's Belagavi district. He had been set to inaugurate the new headquarters building of Sri Beereshwara Cooperative Credit Society in Examba, Chikkodi taluk. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi confirmed the illness, assuring that Shah has since recovered and is now in perfect health. The inauguration event had to be called off as a result of the minister's sudden health setback.
