Aletheia: Open-Source AI Built to Clarify Human Thinking, Not Just Answer Questions

Aletheia is an experimental open-source AI architecture designed to promote epistemic clarity and self-reflection rather than simply generating answers. Unlike conventional AI assistants that respond to prompts with predictions and recommendations, Aletheia uses an eight-layer framework to decompose statements into facts, interpretations, emotions, and values before suggesting any action. The system assigns explicit epistemic labels — such as 'fact,' 'speculation,' or 'philosophical view' — to every significant claim, preventing unverified ideas from quietly hardening into accepted truths. It also incorporates a 'Wisdom Graph' that maps concepts across philosophical and spiritual traditions, preserving their disagreements rather than synthesising them into a single viewpoint.
