PM Surya Ghar Scheme Reaches 50 Lakh Homes With Rooftop Solar Installations

India's PM Surya Ghar scheme has successfully covered over 50 lakh households with rooftop solar installations, the central government announced. Nearly 19 lakh of these households now pay zero electricity bills, significantly reducing their energy costs. More than 12 lakh households have gone a step further by selling surplus solar power back to the grid, generating additional income. The scheme also extends support to low-income families while creating employment opportunities across the country. Officials view this expansion as a major milestone in India's ongoing transition toward clean energy.

ICMAI June 2026 Results: Raunak Jain tops Intermediate, Mokshit leads Final

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India has published provisional top 10 rank lists for its June 2026 Intermediate and Final examinations conducted under Syllabus 2022. Raunak Jain from Surat claimed the first rank in the Intermediate examination. Mokshit Vamsi Krishna Mattupalli from Guntur secured the top position in the Final examination. The merit lists include high-achieving candidates from multiple cities across India, such as Visakhapatnam, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Thanjavur, among others.
