Over 80,000 Cases Pending in High Courts for 30+ Years, SC Backlog Persists

More than 10,000 cases have been pending in the Supreme Court of India for over a decade, while high courts across the country carry a backlog of over 80,000 cases that have remained unresolved for more than 30 years. Despite considerable investment in court infrastructure and technology, case pendency has not meaningfully improved.
