ABVP Wins Student Union Elections at Kerala College, Defeating SFI

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has won the student union elections at a Kerala college, breaking through a stronghold traditionally held by the Students Federation of India (SFI). The ABVP claimed the result reflects student rejection of what it termed SFI's anti-student policies. A spokesperson for the organisation said the victory would serve as a significant morale boost for ABVP units across other campuses in Kerala. The win is being seen as a notable political shift in a state where left-leaning student bodies have historically dominated college unions.
