1,700-Year-Old Roman-Era Pyramid Tomb Unearthed in Egypt's Dakhla Oasis

Archaeologists have uncovered a rare pyramid-shaped tomb at Bir Al-Shaghala in Egypt's Dakhla Oasis, dating back approximately 1,700 years to the Roman period. The mud-brick structure blends Egyptian and Roman architectural elements and features inscriptions on its walls. Among the notable finds is a Greek funerary poem dedicated to an individual named Psychtis, pointing to significant cultural exchange in the region. Excavators also retrieved artifacts associated with burial rituals, including an offering table and a bronze coin.
